On August 4, 2024, our reactors for the ±800kV UHVDC transmission project from Longdong to Shandong were dispatched.
The project begins in Qingyang, Longdong, Gansu, traverses five provinces—Gansu, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Hebei, and Shandong—and terminates in Dongping, Tai'an, Shandong. It includes two new converter stations, Qingyang and Dongping, with a converter capacity of 8 million kW, and the development of a new ±800 kV transmission line stretching 926.4 kilometers, along with two grounding electrodes. The Dongping converter station is located in Xiasuicheng Village, Jieshan Town, Dongping County, covering approximately 315 Mu (about 51.7 acres). With a dynamic investment of 20.188 billion RMB, this project facilitates the transmission of power from large energy bases in Longdong—incorporating wind, solar, and thermal power storage—delivering it to Shandong. The annual power transmission exceeds 36 billion kilowatt-hours, with renewable energy accounting for about 50% of the total.
